Our Story

Leading up to the opening of Warr-King Wines in 2013, Lisa completed the Wine Technology Program at Lake Washington Technical College and a two-year certification program in Enology from Washington State University. She spent two years with Patterson Cellars learning the ropes of the business and finding her winemaking style, then a harvest at Chateau Ste. Michelle making large-scale white wines. Lisa is happiest when the fruit rolls in and her hands are stained purple, so when a space came available in the Woodinville Warehouse District, she jumped at the opportunity to start the winery with her husband Alan and a few very encouraging friends.

Lisa takes a minimalist approach to winemaking and believes in honoring the fruit as it is grown. She embraces vintage variation and is dedicated to producing wines that are true to a varietal. Warr-King sources from some of the best vineyards in Washington state and works with notable growers that value sustainable practices and consistently yield high-quality fruit. Warr-King Wines intends to stay small and stay focused, offering a limited production of single vineyard, single varietal wines, and unique blends that showcase the exquisiteness of Washington wine.
