Our Story

Aubaine is a high-end boutique project of a single vineyard and estate only Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Andy Lytle, our founder, has teamed up with Isabelle Meunier, esteemed winemaker, to make the best possible expression of the Eola-Amity Hills.

Aubaine is the French term for Windfall, one of the estate vineyards used in future vintages. On the label, the green wave represents the Eola-Amity Hills, while the blue one represents the winds of the VanDuzer Corridor. The subtle Van Duzer corridor winds cresting over the gentle Jory soil slope at Anahata Vineyard have created an excellent site with wines of distinction.

Isabelle comes to Aubaine with experience in French and New Zealand vineyards and seven years working with Oregon’s terroir under various labels. She works now with special winemaking projects, like Aubaine.

Welcome to our critically acclaimed inaugural vintage from the Anahata Vineyard.

A reflection of the best grapes the Eola-Amity Hills

Aubaine wines are sourced from two single-vineyard estates that are a reflection of the best grapes the Eola-Amity Hills and Willamette Valley have to offer. Founder Andy Lytle feels this area reflects his passion not just for wine but for the unique culture of winemaking and vineyard growing that has emerged in Oregon.

Anahata Vineyard

Aubaine’s estate vineyard uses Pinot Noir clones Pommard, 777, and 667 and clone 76 for Chardonnay. Anahata is the Sanskrit word for the heart chakra, and its vineyard blocks are named as translations of the word “JOY.”
