In 2016 the newly married couple were having a conversation, as many newlyweds do, about their future and what may be in store. Lee Fergestrom worked for a tech start-up, and now wife Emily in communication and public relations. However, the couple wanted to do something special — so a winery was born. Lee and Emily immediately got to work meeting with vineyards, winemakers, and grape growers to learn the business and gather as much information as they could. What they found was a bit surprising for such a competitive industry. They discovered that many of the people working in the Yakima Valley of Washington were very helpful. So they teamed up with Johnny Brose as their head winemaker, and by 2017 were able to produce their first vintage when the owners of Two Mountain Wineries allowed them to use their facility for the production process. The following year, the Fergestrom’s moved to a newly built facility. Now, under the winemaking leadership of Alexis Sells, who joined them from California, they are producing wines using the highest quality grapes and telling the story of the Yakima Valley.
We feature the best of what Washington offers — Bordeaux and Rhône style wines. Owners Lee and Emily Fergestrom decided to open a winery in 2016, and a year later, they produced their first vintage. Welcome to our journey!
