Eduardo and Ana Enriquez unexpectedly purchased land in Petaluma in Sonoma County after a trip to Sonoma’s wine country with their daughter, now winemaker Cecilia. The family had never been to Sonoma before and fell in love with the area’s beauty, and the Pinot Noir’s from the tasting rooms sealed the deal.
Just out of college, Cecilia had very little wine knowledge other than the wines her father drank at home were nothing like what they had tasted in Sonoma. So in 2011, Cecilia moved to the property in Petaluma and began following farmers and winemakers around, soaking up every bit of information and learning through their guidance and knowledge.
Then, in 2015, the family sold the property and purchased 8.5 acres in Forestville, right in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Enriquez Estates focuses on producing small-batch, award-winning varieties that are inherently unique to the Russian River Valley.

Before the estate land became a vineyard in 2007, it had been a cow dairy farm and a private 8-hole golf course. The Enriquez family grows various Pinot Noir clones; 667, 777, Pisoni, 882, and Pommard 5 and under the care of Cecilia.
