Our Story

We believe our love of wine is about creating experiences we’ll remember. It’s sharing a bottle of wine (or several) alongside a home cooked dish with close friends and laughing until your side hurts. It’s getting geeky with a curious wine crowd and discussing the aromas and flavors and feeling seen. The perfect bottle can set the mood for a quiet evening or turn the volume up on a celebration. Wine is never dull — from the first sniff or sip, we step into the unknown — and we’re always down for that.

Our casual love for wine grew stronger through years of shared experiences. We’ve seen how collaborative and welcoming our regions’ winemakers are and how diverse and expressive our terroir can be. That led us into years of intense education, and we fell in love with the process of wine production and a passion for producing wine ourselves. It’s an elegant and sometimes messy mix of art and science that evolves into magic.

And like magic, here we are today, ready to share our experience with you.

Maxine Lily brings you our reflections on the wines of Oregon. Elegant, unique and engaging— wines that are a study in contrasts like Maxine and Lily, tenacious young women who tinspired these wines. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, two of the great wines of the world, have made a home in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and are the foundation of Maxine Lily wines. Our inaugural Maxine Lily offering brings you wines from the 2020 vintage: A classically styled Willamette Valley Chardonnay and two incredible Yamhill-Carlton Pinot Noirs from the Gregory Ranch Vineyard and Domaine Danielle Laurent Vineyards. — Label design by Maxine & Lily Adams

With its vast winegrowing acreage, Washington is home to eighteen AVAs providing winemakers with a staggering choice in grape variety, elevation, geology, and climate that combine to produce an impressive array of wines. We navigate the dynamics to bring you a selection of wines that are sophisticated yet practical, approachable without any pretense. Our inaugural suite of Streetvine wines feature selections from the Horse Heaven Hills and Walla Walla Valley. Look for the label with our winged messenger, corkscrew at the ready. May's Discovery Vineyard

Discovery Vineyard was first planted in 2005 and is owned by Kay and Milo May. The 30-acre site is located on a bluff overlooking Crow Butte park on the Columbia River. The well drained, shallow, sandy soils were produced by the Missoula floods and are a great site for world class wine grapes.

Gregory Ranch Vineyard

Planted in 2008, Gregory Ranch is a 26-acre vineyard in the hills of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. It is farmed using biodynamic methods and carefully managed to produce the best fruit possible.

Domaine Danielle Laurent Vineyard

The 20-acre Domaine Danielle Laurent Vineyard is planted on gentle slopes with south-west exposure in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. It receives its a good amount of rain and hot summer sun.  The soil provides the vines with rich nutrients for that distinct Yamhill-Carlton flavor. The vineyard is planted with 18 acres of Pinot Noir and two acres of Chardonnay.
